The workshop will discuss current challenges and new approaches in automotive software engineering. The focus will be on software-defined vehicles (SDV), generative and embedded AI, continuous software updates, and new approaches to end-to-end assurance of safety, security and compliance. In addition to mature research findings, visionary contributions, case studies, and early-stage work are also expressly welcome.
Examples of topics include, but are not limited to:
- Software engineering for software-defined vehicles (SDVs)
- Engineering and assurance of AI-based automotive systems
- Continuous integration, deployment, and updating of vehicle software
- Continuous evolution of connected vehicle software across the lifecycle
- Data-driven development and data management in automotive software engineering
- Generative AI for automotive software development, verification, and validation
- Over-the-air (OTA) updates: engineering, deployment, and risk management
- Continuous safety assurance and safety cases for evolving systems
- Security engineering and cybersecurity management for connected vehicles
- Privacy-by-design and data protection in vehicle software and services
- Regulatory compliance, homologation, and continuous type approval
- Traceable evidence generation across safety, security, privacy, and compliance
- Integrating continuous innovation with established assurance and certification processes
- Human–machine interaction and user experience in vehicles
- Open research challenges and roadmaps for automotive software engineering
- Industrial experience reports, case studies, and lessons learned
